EVENT INFORMATION

As a member of CFCCU, please join us for the 67th annual meeting of the Cedar Falls Community Credit Union. You will also have an opportunity to meet the credit union staff and the board of directors. You will experience the chance to vote for your board of directors, learn about the Credit Unions past success and the new agenda for the future. You will also receive cool CFCCU gear and a chance to win many prizes. Dinner and a choice of beverage will be provided. A cash bar will be available.

2025 Board Member Candidates

Gordie Sorensen (Incumbent)

Gordie was born and raised in Cedar Falls, graduated from Cedar Falls High School, and the University of Northern Iowa. He has deep roots in the community and a strong appreciation for its growth and development. 

His career began in construction and development, where he cultivated a passion for new construction and real estate. Since 2008, he has dedicated his expertise to helping clients navigate the buying, selling, and investing process as a CRE Specialist with Twin Power Group Real Estate. 

Gordie’s greatest joy is spending time with his wife and four children who are spread across the country. This gives him a wonderful reason to travel and explore, but he always loves returning home to the Cedar Valley.

Sheila Kittleson (Incumbent)

With almost 30 years of service on CFCCU’s Board of Directors and a long-standing membership with the credit union, Sheila Kittleson has shown her dedication and commitment to CFCCU and her community. 

Currently, Sheila is the executive director of the Wartburg Waverly Wellness Facility and Senior Women’s Administrator for Athletics at Wartburg College. Her previous professional background in various accounting and financial positions gives her a unique perspective and skills for her role on CFCCU’s board. 

Sheila enjoys spending her free time with her husband of forty years, two children, and five grandchildren. She also stays connected with the community via her roles as past president and current treasurer of the Waverly Exchange Club and Cedar Valley Sports Commission Board of Directors. 

Becky Riehm (Incumbent)

Becky grew up in DeWitt, Iowa but has lived in Cedar Falls for the past 35 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business, Economics, and Finance from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. Becky is currently an Executive Director in Strategic Underwriting Innovation with Reinsurance Group of America (RGA). Prior to joining RGA in 2019, she was employed with TruStage (formerly CUNA Mutual Group) for 27 years. 

She also currently serves on the Cedar Bend Humane Society Board as Treasurer. Becky is married with 3 children and 5 grandchildren. She has been on the CFCCU board since 2014 and would like to be re-elected to maintain her position on the Board of Directors.

Ben Fisher

Ben fisher has been a part of the Cedar Valley community his whole life. He spent most of his school career at Janesville CSD and graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 2004. Ben started working full time for his father’s company, Fishsticks, in 2005. He later purchased the company from his parents in 2012. Over the years, Ben was able to grow Fishsticks into a thriving business, opening a showroom in Waterloo, and hitting record profits in 2023 prior to selling the business to explore other opportunities. 

Currently, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife of ten years and two daughters. He also owns and manages multiple rental properties, does custom woodwork at his woodshop, and uses his various equipment and implements for odd and end jobs.
