Everything I need to know about money I learned in kindergarten

It’s Cleanup Time

Kindergarteners know to keep their classroom neat by cleaning up after themselves after they play.

Do the same for your finances by clearing out the clutter from your budget on a regular basis. Look for extras you don’t really need, like unused subscriptions and impulse buys, and clean up that budget!

Pay Attention

Make sure you listen up when the teacher is talking!

As an adult, you’ll want to pay attention, too — to the financial news, the latest scams and the newest tax laws and regulations. Also, stay aware of the state of your personal finances and credit score to ensure you’re managing your money in the best way possible.

Wait Your Turn

There’s no pushing to the head of the line in kindergarten — or in life.

If it seems like your investments and savings are sitting around forever while waiting for that lucky strike, sit tight. Stay patient and wait for the market to turn, or for compound interest to work its magic on your savings.

Sharing is for Everyone

What’s yours is yours to give. Always remember to pay it forward and make the world into a better place. You can give according to your means, and never forget that every little bit helps.
